Hi, welcome to my site! I'm concerned with mastering the entire process — research, design, engineering, and go-to-market. I think this breadth is incredibly valuable — even if I'm not bringing a product from 0 to 1 (I often am), it's my strength to have strong context for where my work is coming from and where it's going.
I'm very lucky to have such a breadth of experience – to have started out in magazine design, majored in media studies / engineering, and to have executed in DIY music and consumer social spaces. Each new world I put myself into informs my ongoing work: making me a stronger, more contextual, and thorough designer/engineer/creative. With recent advancements in technology, identifying cultural gaps and executing on them with a continuously clear vision is the most important.
I see DIY as a mantra and a community who's values guide me: I care fiercely about independent art, scrappy organizing, and IRL. As the 'roles' of 'Designer' and 'Engineer' start to collide for the first time in Silicon Valley, my focus remains on deepening my practices for creative research, mathematics, and community building in New York. These, in my opinion, are the secondary colors that allow people to actually be excellent in both design and engineering.
I care about which teams I work on more than anything – working and learning alongside top talent is my highest priority, and how I've been able to gain so much knowledge so far. If you've made it this far, please say hello! I treasure you.
